Amidst the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the cultural world fell silent, I had the privilege of being approached by Shlomi Pinto, a talented and authentic live performance photographer. Entrusting me with the design of his debut photography book, Shlomi's invitation marked the beginning of an enriching collaboration. Together, we embarked on a journey that I consider a significant cultural documentation, spanning over a decade of capturing the essence of live performances by some of the world's most renowned artists.
I was commissioned by KKL-JNF (Jewish National Fund) to design the cover for the Book of Honor, around the theme of "Iron Swords," which starts with the tragic massacre of Israeli civilians by Hamas, during the October the 7th. 2024. The aim was to create a compelling image that would capture the profound gravity of the events – the turmoil, the fracture, the mobilization – and deliver a powerful artistic representation.
